Tehran: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has reaffirmed the nation's commitment to a seamless coordination between diplomatic and defense sectors to protect its national interests. During a recent session with the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Iranian Parliament, Araghchi underscored the ongoing and effective collaboration between the Foreign Ministry and the Parliamentary Commission on National Security and Foreign Policy.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Araghchi updated the lawmakers on several significant developments. These include an agreement with Oman concerning the Strait of Hormuz, the progress in ongoing negotiations, and the roles played by mediators in these discussions. He further elaborated on Iran's stipulations for reopening the Strait of Hormuz, the outcomes of the recent Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit, and the agenda for the forthcoming BRICS summit.

The discussions also extended to Iran's diplomatic relations with neighboring countries, focusing on enhancing bilateral ties and advancing joint projects. Araghchi highlighted the critical role of economic diplomacy in these efforts.

In his address, Araghchi praised the steadfast resistance exhibited by the Armed Forces and acknowledged the wise presence of Iranian citizens in public demonstrations. He paid homage to those who lost their lives in recent US military actions, especially civilians killed at a wedding ceremony in Sirik, and honored the brave members of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Aerospace Force who perished.
