Tehran: The Commander-in-Chief of the Army, Major General Amir Hatami, has stated that any aggression against the security and territorial integrity of Iran will be met with a decisive and regret-inducing response.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Hatami emphasized in a message that the Sacred Defense Week serves as a reminder of the Iranian nation's monumental efforts in safeguarding the country's independence, dignity, and territorial integrity. He highlighted the faith, sacrifice, and struggle of the men and women who, during a significant test, thwarted the enemies' plots through their steadfastness and self-sacrifice.

Hatami noted that while recent wars differ from the Sacred Defense in terms of form, tools, and requirements, they share a commonality: the Iranian nation once again stood united against aggression and excessive demands from adversaries. The Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, leveraging faith, experience, and indigenous capability, defended the nation's existence and territorial integrity.

He further stated that the Sacred Defense taught the importance of relying on faith and national will, along with the unity and insight of the people and the capability of the Armed Forces, as a solid foundation for the country's security and authority.

Hatami concluded by asserting that the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, under the command of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and supported by the Iranian nation, remain fully vigilant and ready. They are committed to defending the independence, security, and territorial integrity of Iran without hesitation.
