Tehran: Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei announced the visit by Mr. Bafel Talabani, leader of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), to Tehran on Tuesday. According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Bafel Talabani's visit to Tehran is taking place at the invitation of Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi. The visit falls within the framework of the Islamic Republic of Iran's ongoing consultations with the Iraqi government and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. The discussions are aimed at expanding bilateral relations and strengthening peace and stability in the region. The Foreign Ministry spokesperson highlighted that during this visit, the leader of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) will hold talks and exchange views with senior Iranian officials. The discussions will cover matters of mutual interest, including issues related to economic cooperation and border security.
