Beijing: China's Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Lin Jian has emphasized Beijing's respect for Tehran's right to peaceful nuclear energy use, while also valuing Iran's commitment to not developing nuclear weapons and opposing unilateral sanctions.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Lin made these remarks during a press conference on Friday, highlighting China's preference for a political and diplomatic resolution to the Iranian nuclear issue. Lin stated, "We attach importance to Iran's commitment of not developing nuclear weapons, respect Iran's right to peaceful use of nuclear power, and oppose any illicit unilateral sanctions."

Lin further explained that China will maintain its engagement with all parties involved, aiming to constructively contribute to a solution that addresses legitimate concerns. He emphasized China's dedication to upholding nuclear non-proliferation and fostering peace and stability in the region.
