Tehran: The Secretariat of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) has condemned the Israeli aggression against Iran as a flagrant violation of the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the Secretariat expressed grave concern about the escalation of violence and the threat to peace posed by Israeli aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran in a statement issued on Sunday. It strongly condemned the violation of Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, noting that Iran is a key member and the host of ECO. This act was described as a clear breach of fundamental principles of international law and the U.N. Charter.

The Secretariat also extended its condolences to the people and government of the Islamic Republic over the loss of lives and damage to civilian infrastructure resulting from the Israeli strikes. It emphasized that attacks on civilian targets, including transport and energy infrastructure, undermine regional peace and pose serious risks to global stability.
