Enemies Seek to Divide Iran, Weaken National Power: IRGC Commander

Tehran: Major General Mostafa Izadi, Deputy Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), asserts that enemies have been plotting for decades under various pretexts to weaken and divide the Iranian nation. Speaking at a ceremony commemorating the 40th day since the burial of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, General Izadi emphasized that the Islamic Revolution has been a persistent obstacle to adversaries due to its message of peace and justice.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, General Izadi highlighted that these adversaries have devised numerous conspiracies with the intention of dividing Iran, exploiting its oil resources, weakening the Iranian Armed Forces, and undermining the country's peaceful nuclear industry. He remarked that the nuclear issue serves merely as a pretext for aggression.

Addressing the wars and conflicts imposed on the nation, including the recent joint US-Israeli aggression, General Izadi noted that the Iranian nation and Armed Forces have triumphed in past battles against their enemies, thanks to their resilience and leadership guidance.

The deputy IRGC commander commended the Iranian martyrs, particularly the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, for their unwavering commitment to the nation's excellence and salvation, whether during the Sacred Defense period or in recent conflicts.

General Izadi elaborated that the Islamic Republic's current strength against global hegemonic powers stems from the leadership's authority, the people's resistance, and the strategic power equation established following the revolution's victory. He concluded by stating that despite ongoing conspiracies and pressures, Iran will continue to thrive, relying on its people, leadership, and the ideals of its martyrs.
