Tehran: The holy city of Mashhad, in northeastern Iran, hosted a ceremony on the evening of August 17, 2026, to honor the 40th day after the funeral and burial of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, who was assassinated in a US-Israeli terror attack on February 28.
