Tehran: Hamid Ghanbari, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, has emphasized that enemies are attempting to create fear in Iran’s economy and market with the aim of imposing fabricated pressures to change Iran’s foreign policy and gain more concessions from the country in negotiations.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Ghanbari made these remarks on Sunday during the first ECO Insurance Conference. He stated that authorities must work in the internal arena to instill hope in the people and stand firm against challenges. This approach is intended to reduce external pressures and mitigate the effects of sanctions, thereby creating a thriving economic environment for citizens.
Ghanbari added that based on strong legal evidence and reasoning, Iran believes that the activation of the snapback mechanism and reinstatement of sanctions are not legal. He argued that the enemy is trying to update these sanctions; however, due to the deep rift among the permanent members of the UN Security Council, such an update will not occur.
He further emphasized that the enemy understands that the issue of snapback mechanism and the reinstatement of sanctions in Iran will not have the same effects on the country’s foreign trade as before. Due to changes over the past years, these measures cannot be implemented easily, leading adversaries to attempt instilling fear among the people.
