Muscat: Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has arrived in Muscat, the capital of Oman, at the head of a high-ranking diplomatic delegation on Sunday evening. Araghchi will meet with his Omani counterpart, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamood Albusaidi, to discuss bilateral relations and the latest regional developments.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the top Iranian diplomat will also participate in the annual meeting of the ‘Muscat Forum’ and will explain Iran’s stance on key global issues. On Friday, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei had announced that Araghchi would travel to the Persian Gulf state of Oman and then to the Netherlands to attend the annual meeting of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) in The Hague.
