Moscow: Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei described the Israeli attack on the Gaza-bound Global Sumud Flotilla, a civilian convoy, as ‘an act of terror.’

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the flotilla was on a mission to deliver humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza when it was intercepted by Israeli forces. The Foreign Ministry condemned the attack, emphasizing the civilian nature of the convoy and stressing its peaceful intentions.

The spokesperson further called on the international community to hold Israel accountable for what the ministry views as a violation of international law. The ministry urged relevant organizations to take decisive action to prevent similar incidents in the future and ensure the safety of humanitarian missions.
