Tehran: The spokesperson for the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly announced that the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council has stressed the importance of maintaining national unity and social cohesion during a meeting with commission members.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Ebrahim Rezaei detailed the discussions held during the Tuesday evening meeting of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission of the Parliament. Members of the commission convened with the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council to address several pressing issues.

The spokesperson further noted that the meeting focused on the need to address challenges posed by the West regarding the nuclear issue, highlighting instances of breached promises and the ineffectiveness of ongoing negotiations. Emphasis was also placed on national unity, public opinion, and media-related concerns.
