Tehran: The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has issued a strong statement demanding that Israeli criminals be prosecuted for their actions.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the spokesperson criticized the role of Western nations in the ongoing conflict. ‘The occupying apartheid regime kills with Western weapons, starves with Western acquiescence, and evades accountability with American vetoes and Western backing,’ the spokesperson stated on their X account on Thursday. They emphasized the need for Israeli criminals to be ‘reined in and prosecuted for their brutal atrocities and wicked crimes.’

The statement comes in response to recent events in Gaza, where the Israeli regime launched a significant military operation in October 2023. The operation has resulted in the destruction of large parts of the Gaza Strip, with more than 60,000 Palestinian civilians reported killed, including numerous children and women. Additionally, thousands of individuals remain missing or are presumed dead.
