New york city: Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Kazem Gharibabadi announced that he engaged in extensive consultations and attended numerous meetings during his three-day visit to New York City. These remarks were made on his X account on Thursday.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Gharibabadi participated in several key meetings, including a United Nations Security Council (U.N.S.C.) session chaired by Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister. During this meeting, Gharibabadi spoke about the aggression by the Israeli regime and the United States against Iran, highlighting Iran’s decisive response and warning of a stronger reaction if such attacks were repeated.

In another U.N.S.C. meeting chaired by the same Pakistani official, Gharibabadi addressed the situation in Gaza, condemning the crimes committed by the Israeli regime and presenting six proposals to confront these actions. He also met with representatives from over 110 U.N. member states to discuss the aggression by the Israeli regime and the U.S. against Iran and its impact on international peace and security.

Gharibabadi held discussions with the ten non-permanent members of the U.N.S.C., focusing on the aggression against Iran, the status of Iran’s relations with the International Atomic Energy Agency (I.A.E.A.) following recent attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities, and matters related to U.N.S.C. Resolution 2231. Additionally, he met with the ambassadors and permanent representatives of China and Russia to the U.N. to coordinate positions on key issues.

Further meetings included discussions with the Group of Friends in Defense of the Charter of the United Nations, comprising over twenty countries, and a meeting with the U.N. under-secretary-general for political affairs to exchange views on the aggression against Iran and Resolution 2231’s implementation. Gharibabadi also met with the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (I.C.R.C.), rejecting the Israeli regime’s claim of ‘self-defense’ in its attack on Iranian territory.

Finally, Gharibabadi engaged with representatives from over twenty major international media outlets to discuss the media’s role in covering the aggression against Iran, Iran’s conditions for negotiations with the U.S., and criticized the I.A.E.A.’s conduct during the recent aggression.
