Tehran: Iran's enemies have shown that they are committed to no principles or rules of human rights, the spokesperson for the Guardian Council says. Speaking at a gathering of Guardian Council observers in Amol, northern Iran, on Monday, Hadi Tahan Nazif emphasized the importance of remaining vigilant against adversaries while the country is engaged in an existential and identity-based confrontation with global hegemonic powers.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Tahan Nazif stated that the enemy has demonstrated a lack of commitment to any human rights principles or rules. He criticized the United States and Israel for violating international humanitarian law by targeting a school in Minab, a hospital in Ahvaz, and other public places during armed conflicts. These actions, he argued, contravene the established rules intended to protect civilians.

The spokesperson further explained that the ongoing confrontation between Iran and global hegemonic powers stems from fundamental differences over the principles governing the Islamic Republic. He highlighted that Iran's Constitution emphasizes human dignity, independence, freedom, and justice, which contrast with the values of its adversaries.

Tahan Nazif also urged for national unity, referencing the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyid Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, who has warned that division and disputes can weaken a nation and diminish its strength.
