Iran and Belarus Discuss Enhanced Economic Cooperation

Minsk:Iran and Belarus have explored ways to facilitate banking and financial exchanges and expand economic cooperation during the 19th meeting of their Joint Economic Commission.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the Iranian delegation, led by Central Bank of Iran official Hossein Kashiri, engaged in discussions with their Belarusian counterparts to address obstacles in banking and currency transactions.

Both countries agreed to establish a regular mechanism for meetings between their central banks, commercial banks, and financial institutions to support trade, economic activity, and mutual investment.

Kashiri stated that Iran's banking and financial institutions are prepared to facilitate direct investment and encourage the participation of Belarusian banks in significant economic and commercial projects within Iran.
