Iran and China Focus on Strengthening Bilateral Relations and Regional Developments

Tehran: The Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Tehran, Cong Peiwu, met with Kazem Gharibabadi, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, to discuss mutual ties and regional developments.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, during the meeting, the two diplomats exchanged views on key issues in bilateral relations. This dialogue follows the recent appointment of Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf as the Special Envoy of the Islamic Republic of Iran for China Affairs. The discussions also covered the latest developments in the region.

Gharibabadi emphasized that Ghalibaf's appointment as special envoy highlights Iran's commitment to maintaining and expanding its relations with China. This move indicates a long-term vision for enhancing the scope and depth of ties between the two nations.
