TEHRAN: Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi met with Oman’s Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi in Tehran to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments. The meeting took place as Al Busaidi led a high-ranking political and economic delegation to the Iranian capital.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the discussions between the two foreign ministers were anticipated to center on strengthening ties between Iran and Oman, which have been amicable since the 1970s when the Sultanate of Oman was established. The Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman, Esmail Baghaei, had indicated prior to the meeting that the talks would focus on enhancing cooperation in various sectors and addressing regional issues.
The visit underscores the ongoing diplomatic engagement between the two nations, which have maintained stable and cooperative relations over the decades. Both countries have historically collaborated on various political and economic initiatives, reflecting their mutual interests in fostering stability and prosperity in the region.
