Doha:Tehran Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi of Iran and his Omani counterpart, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, have engaged in a phone conversation to discuss the latest developments in the region.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the two ministers exchanged views on regional issues and explored avenues to achieve peace and stability during their telephone call on Thursday.

The discussion took place against the backdrop of increased US military activity in West Asia and rising hostile rhetoric from American officials towards the Islamic Republic.
