Moscow:Iran and Russia have announced their commitment to enhancing legal and judicial cooperation, focusing on the exchange of experiences in applying modern technologies in judicial proceedings.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Iranian Prosecutor General Mohammad Movahedi Azad and Igor Krasnov, Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, held a meeting in Moscow. Movahedi Azad is visiting Russia to participate in a gathering of prosecutors general from the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).
During the meeting, Movahedi Azad conveyed his gratitude for the support provided by the Russian government and its people, particularly senior political and legal officials, during the recent US-Israeli conflict involving Iran. He also expressed Iran's willingness to collaborate with Russia in using modern technologies in judicial settings to protect public rights.
Both parties emphasized the importance of developing and expanding judicial cooperation between Tehran and Moscow. Krasnov highlighted that the increasing political relations between the two countries, including meetings between their presidents, could be further strengthened through legal consultations.
