Iran and Russia Explore Enhanced Economic Cooperation

Tehran:According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Iran's Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad and Russian Energy Minister Sergey Tsivilev participated in a high-level webinar to discuss accelerating economic cooperation. This meeting was part of the Iran-Russia Joint Economic Cooperation Commission.

The videoconference, held on Monday, included officials from both nations and revisited previously defined issues and programs under the joint commission. Paknejad noted that the meeting reviewed past achievements and decisions of the commission, proposing solutions to existing obstacles to expedite the implementation of agreements.

The Iran-Russia Joint Economic Cooperation Commission is a crucial mechanism that focuses on enhancing economic relations between the two countries. This includes areas such as energy, investment, trade, and the execution of joint projects.
