Tehran:Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, Mohsen Rezaei, has stated that Iran will not revert to its previous diplomatic stance with the United States. He emphasized the need for Washington to 'take action' and comply with Iran's conditions for the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Rezaei made these remarks in a post on X, asserting that Iran has achieved a new strategic position. He insisted that the United States must respect the rights of the Iranian people and adhere to the conditions set forth by Iran; otherwise, the Strait of Hormuz would remain closed.

Rezaei's comments followed US President Donald Trump's recent threats at the United Nations General Assembly, where he warned of the potential 'annihilation' of Iran if Tehran did not agree to a deal.
