Mashhad: The provincial branch of the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) in the northeastern province of Khorasan Razavi has announced the dismantling of a terrorist team linked to Israel’s Mossad. The IRGC’s public relations office revealed that eight individuals were arrested for their involvement in activities threatening Iran’s national security.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the arrested operatives were collaborating with separatist groups and had received online training from Mossad agents. They were accused of providing sensitive information, including coordinates of important facilities and details about military personnel, to Mossad. The group was reportedly planning attacks targeting civilian and military officials, as well as sabotage operations in Mashhad.
The IRGC’s operation led to the seizure of materials intended for constructing launchers, explosives, and booby traps, further highlighting the potential threat posed by the dismantled group. The successful intervention by the IRGC underscores the ongoing security challenges faced by Iran amidst regional tensions.
