Tehran: In a recent address to Iranians living abroad, President Masoud Pezeshkian underscored the importance of diplomacy for the country, emphasizing that the path of peaceful engagement remains open. His administration is committed to utilizing all political resources to pursue this approach.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, President Pezeshkian highlighted the unity and solidarity that emerged among the Iranian people and officials during the 12-day conflict imposed by the Israeli regime. He described this period as an opportunity to serve the nation more effectively, advocating for diplomacy and constructive engagement while opposing war.
Referring to the conflict, Pezeshkian noted the significant public participation and social cohesion witnessed in Iran’s contemporary history. Iranians, both domestically and abroad, stood united against the aggressor, demonstrating a collective will against the enemy.
The President emphasized the beginning of a new chapter aimed at a secure, stable, and powerful Iran. He stressed the importance of national unity, youth energy, and innovative ideas in achieving this goal. Reflecting on the past, he called for rebuilding hope through consensus, empathy, and rationality.
Pezeshkian further stated that Iran’s national security is ensured through military strength and citizen unity. He encouraged looking toward new horizons to build a prosperous Iran, supported by the nation’s social capital.
Condemning Israeli aggression, Pezeshkian warned adversaries about Iran’s readiness to respond decisively to any future attacks. The recent conflict began on June 13, with Israel targeting military, nuclear, and civilian sites across Iran. The Iranian Armed Forces launched retaliatory strikes, causing significant damage in Israeli-occupied territories. A ceasefire was announced on June 24.
