Beirut: Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has sent a message to his Lebanese counterpart, Youssef Rajji, to congratulate him on the 82nd anniversary of the country’s independence. In his message on Sunday, Araghchi felicitated the National Day of Lebanon to the government and people of the Arab country.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, recalling the long-standing and friendly relations between Tehran and Beirut, the top diplomat expressed hope for further growth and development of relations and cooperation between the two countries in all areas of mutual interest. Lebanon marks the National Day on November 22, every year, in commemoration of the end of the French colonial rule over the country in 1943.
