Iran FM Urges Global Measures Against US for Alleged Crimes

Tehran: Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has highlighted the necessity of decisive international action to safeguard the United Nations Charter and to hold the United States accountable for its law-breaking and crimes. Araghchi, during a phone call held on Wednesday with Musalia Mudavadi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kenya, referred to the insecurity imposed on the Persian Gulf region and the Strait of Hormuz due to the US-Israeli aggression against Iran.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Araghchi pointed out that the international community must take decisive steps to defend the UN Charter and hold the United States responsible for its breaches of international law and crimes. The Kenyan Foreign Minister, noting the need to respect the national sovereignty and territorial integrity of countries and to refrain from the use of force, emphasized the importance of diplomacy in establishing peace in the region.

During the conversation, the two sides discussed the security in the West Asia region and the consequences of the aggressive actions by the US and the Zionist regime against Iran, as well as the economic repercussions of the war for other regions. The United States and Israel imposed a war of aggression against Iran on February 28, assassinating the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the father of Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei. Several top military commanders were also assassinated on the first day of the aggression.
