Tehran: Iran's Navy Commander Rear Admiral Shahram Irani has announced that the Islamic Republic is on the verge of unveiling a new weapon designed to instill fear among its adversaries. In a recent televised interview, Admiral Irani stated that the weapon would be revealed near enemy positions, where it is expected to have a significant impact.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Admiral Irani emphasized that the enemies had mistakenly believed their military strategies would quickly fulfill their objectives. He highlighted past Navy reprisals, mentioning that the US aircraft carrier Abraham Lincoln was targeted with missile strikes on multiple occasions in regional waters.
In response to ongoing tensions, Iran has implemented retaliatory measures, including the closure of the strategic Strait of Hormuz from the Arabian Sea. Admiral Irani issued a warning to hostile forces, underscoring Iran's readiness to take necessary operational actions if any transgressions occur.
The Navy Chief also addressed the United States' blockade of Iranian ports, which he claimed has been ineffective. Despite the blockade, Iranian vessels have successfully departed and reached their destinations. Additionally, Admiral Irani condemned the US's seizure of Iranian ships, labeling it as acts of piracy and hostage-taking.
