Tehran: Prosecutors from across Iran have voiced their support for the Islamic Republic's legitimate sovereign right to exercise control over the Strait of Hormuz. Speaking at a nationwide gathering of prosecutors, Prosecutor General Mohammad Movahhedi Azad emphasized that Iranian authorities should defend the country's 'legitimate ownership right' over the crucial waterway, asserting that such measures are fully consistent with international law.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Movahhedi Azad called on prosecutors nationwide to increase public awareness through sustained information campaigns regarding the issue. He also highlighted that Iran has been confronting adversarial forces for over a year, during which it has bolstered its defense capabilities, relying on domestically produced weapons and public support to strengthen its position.
