Beirut: Iran stands firm by the side of the Lebanese people to help heal wounds and mitigate the effects of the Zionist regime's aggressions, says ambassador to Lebanon Mojtaba Amani. In a post on his X account on Wednesday, Amani pointed to the ceasefire reached between the two sides, arguing that similar to the victories of 2000 and 2006, Lebanon 'once again achieved a new divine victory this year through heroic resistance on the battlefield.'According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the Iranian ambassador further said that this 'golden equation' has always thwarted the aggressive objectives of the Zionist regime and ensured the dignity and honor of Lebanon. Amani congratulated the people of Lebanon and all segments of the nation on what he described as a proud victory, acknowledging the role of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, the leader of the Islamic Resistance, whose guidance and spiritual presence inspired the resistance fighters throughout the confrontation.Amani emphasized that the unwavering support fr om the official stance, the steadfast army, and the widespread popular solidarity across Lebanese cities and regions contributed to this victory. He reiterated that the Islamic Republic of Iran remains committed to standing by the Lebanese people to address the consequences of the Zionist regime's aggressions, which he claimed only bring destruction and ruin.Early on Wednesday, a ceasefire between Israel and Hezbollah came into effect, ending a year of fighting in southern Lebanon and the northern sector of the occupied territories. US President Joe Biden announced that the deal involves the withdrawal of the Zionist regime's forces from southern Lebanon over the next 60 days.
