Rasht:The Consul General of the Russian Federation in Rasht, Sergey Vladimirovich Azarov, has emphasized the strong and constructive interaction between Moscow and Tehran. Both nations are keen to further expand their mutual ties across various fields.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Azarov made these remarks during the inaugural Iran-Russia Trade Development Summit. The event, which focuses on the Gilan and Astrakhan provinces, is taking place in the Anzali Free Zone, with various dignitaries in attendance.

The summit aims to explore the opportunities, advantages, and challenges of trade between Iran and Russia, with a particular emphasis on Gilan and Astrakhan as pivotal entry points for commerce between the two countries. Key attendees include Mohammad Ali Dehghan Dehnavi, Head of the Iran Trade Development Organization, and Hadi Haghshenas, Governor of Gilan, among others.

The summit features specialized panels that address the barriers to non-oil trade growth between Iran and Russia, focusing on moving from obstacles to solutions. Additionally, discussions are being held on how executive bodies can facilitate trade and strategize for enhanced economic collaboration.
