Tehran:Economy Minister Ali Madanizadeh has expressed Iran's determination to strengthen its comprehensive ties with China by leveraging the economic capacities of both nations in various fields. According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Madanizadeh, who heads the Iranian side of the Iran-China Joint Economic Cooperation Commission, met with Chinese Ambassador to Iran, Cong Peiwu, to congratulate him on the anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. During the meeting, Madanizadeh emphasized the historical and civilizational ties between Tehran and Beijing as well as their contemporary connections. He underscored the potential for cooperation in industrial investment, new technologies, clean energy, the digital economy, logistics, and industrial projects. Madanizadeh also highlighted China's role in the global economy and discussed the importance of collaboration among Global South countries. He pointed out that Iran and China could significantly contribute to forming new economic and political frameworks. He expressed gratitude for China's support of Iran's sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as for its humanitarian aid during the recent conflict. Madanizadeh emphasized the significance of cooperation through organizations such as BRICS, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and other financial institutions. The economy minister reiterated Iran's resolve to enhance ties with China, stating that the two countries are moving toward a new chapter of strategic partnership, particularly with the implementation of their 25-year comprehensive cooperation plan.
