Iran to Continue Indirect Talks with U.S. Mediated by Oman

Tehran: Iran will continue to engage in indirect talks with the United States, facilitated by Oman, focusing on nuclear issues and the lifting of sanctions. Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei confirmed Tehran's commitment to these discussions, emphasizing the adherence to guidelines set by senior Iranian officials.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Baqaei stated that the focus of the talks remains strictly on nuclear matters, dismissing any speculation about the possibility of direct negotiations. He clarified that there is no agenda beyond these indirect discussions, as Iran believes direct negotiations are unproductive under conditions of threats, pressure, or intimidation.

Baqaei highlighted Oman's ongoing role as the intermediary for these talks, although the location for future discussions is still under consideration. Iran's stance remains firm in continuing the dialogue through indirect channels as mediated by Oman.
