Iran: Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has condemned the Israeli airstrike on Beirut's Dahiyeh district, warning that the United States and Israel will bear responsibility for the dangerous consequences of the Israeli regime's warmongering in the region.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, in a statement on Sunday night, the ministry described the attack as a 'terrorist act' and a 'blatant violation' of both Lebanon's national sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as a 'grave breach' of the April 8 ceasefire between Iran and the United States.

The strike, which targeted a residential area in Beirut's southern suburb, resulted in a number of Lebanese citizens martyred and wounded, the ministry said. Lebanon's Civil Defense organization earlier reported at least three killed and six wounded.

The Foreign Ministry reminded Washington of its 'direct responsibility' for the crimes committed by the Israeli regime and the repeated ceasefire violations against Lebanon or Iran. Tehran reaffirmed its determination to take all necessary measures to exercise its inherent right to self-defense.

'It is obvious that responsibility for the dangerous consequences of the Israeli regime's aggression for regional peace and security will fall upon the United States and the Israeli regime,' the statement said.
