Iranian Air Defense Praised for Defending Skies Against Aggressors

Tehran: Iran's Navy Commander, Rear Admiral Shahram Irani, has praised the country's Air Defense Force for its vigilant stance against perceived threats from American and Zionist forces, highlighting their reliance on domestic expertise and capabilities.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Admiral Irani conveyed his commendations in a message addressed to Brigadier General Alireza Elhami, commander of the Iranian Army's Air Defense Force. The message was in celebration of the anniversary of the establishment of the Khatam al-Anbiya Air Defense Base and National Air Defense Day, observed on September 1.

Admiral Irani emphasized the significance of the 10th of Shahrivar, marking it as a day to remember the commitment and dedication of Iranian warriors in the defense of the nation's airspace. He highlighted the Air Defense Force's role in past conflicts, such as the eight-year Sacred Defense and wars imposed by US-Israeli alliances, expressing gratitude and honoring those who lost their lives in service.

During recent conflicts, the air defense personnel were noted for their effective use of domestically developed technology to counter threats, showcasing their strategic role in national defense. Admiral Irani attributed the Iranian Armed Forces' preparedness and capabilities to the influence of the martyred Imam's teachings and the guidance of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.

In his concluding remarks, Admiral Irani paid tribute to the air defense martyrs and extended his best wishes to all personnel associated with the Khatam al-Anbiya Air Defense Base, acknowledging their contributions to national security.
