According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the general expressed these sentiments on social media after visiting military bases in northwestern Iran. He drew parallels between the current stance of resilience and Iran's resistance during the eight-year conflict with Iraq's former Baath regime in the 1980s. During his statement, General Karami asserted Iran's reliance on divine support and remembered those who sacrificed their lives during the Sacred Defense, referring to Iran's defense efforts during the 1980-1988 war. He reiterated that Iran's determination remains firm, just as it was during that period, and that the future is destined for Islam and the courageous Iranian nation.
