Tehran: Iranian people have prevented a repeat of history involving foreign occupation and intervention during 200 days of conflict, according to Major General Mohsen Rezaei, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Rezaei delivered a message on Wednesday marking 200 consecutive nights of public gatherings in support of the Armed Forces following the US-Israeli-imposed war against the country. He emphasized that this period should not be viewed solely as a security or military confrontation, but rather as an important chapter in Iran's modern history.

Rezaei recounted that Iran has repeatedly faced foreign invasion, occupation, and intervention over the past two centuries. He noted that periods of weak national power and a lack of unity had previously contributed to defeat, occupation, unequal agreements, and the loss of parts of the country.

Rezaei asserted that these historical experiences demonstrate that Iran can be protected from foreign powers when its people consider the country their own and stand up to defend it. He highlighted that over the past 200 days, history has not repeated itself, with Iranians showing their determination to defend the country against foreign aggression.

He praised the people's presence, patience, and resilience, which have helped protect Iran's territorial integrity and independence, becoming an important pillar of national power and deterrence. Rezaei described the 200-day period as a historic opportunity to heal some of the wounds left by foreign intervention in Iran's past.
