Tehran: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated that Tehran has no intention of making concessions and emphasized the necessity of moving beyond what he described as a "no war, no peace" situation, Anadolu Ajansi reported, citing local media.

According to Nam News Network, Pezeshkian highlighted that Iranian officials are engaged in almost daily discussions to navigate beyond the current situation and to reach an understanding that upholds Iran's principles and values. He emphasized the importance of deterring adversaries from considering further attacks. The president remarked that war does not provide a solution, and the ongoing uncertainty regarding potential conflict resumption is having an economic impact on the nation.

Pezeshkian warned of the challenges in attracting investment as long as the threat of renewed conflict looms. He stressed the importance of resolving the situation through logic while maintaining Iran's strength. Furthermore, the president defended a recent memorandum with the United States, asserting that it contains no provisions that amount to capitulation or require Tehran to make concessions.

The memorandum of understanding between Iran and the US was signed in June through mediation by Pakistan and Qatar, putting an end to hostilities that began in February and setting the stage for negotiations towards a final agreement. However, talks have stalled due to disputes over the memorandum's implementation and arrangements for navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, a crucial route for global oil and gas exports.
