Tehran: Iran's national beach volleyball team (B) claimed the silver medal at the 2026 Asian Beach Games in Sanya, China, following a hard-fought final against Qatar on Wednesday.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the Iranian team, represented by Abolhassan Khakizadeh and Amir-Ali Ghale-Noei and led by coach Abdol-Raouf Bastegani, faced a formidable Qatari squad in the championship match. Despite a determined effort, Iran ultimately fell in straight sets with scores of 21-15 and 21-12, finishing as runners-up in the tournament.
