Muscat: Iran’s Ambassador to Oman has reiterated the stance that as long as there is occupation, there will be legitimate resistance. Mousa Farhang made these remarks during his visit to the National Defense College of Oman, where he discussed bilateral relations, regional issues, and ongoing developments in the Middle East.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Farhang addressed the situations in Palestine and Lebanon, articulating that resistance is a natural response to the occupation and actions of the Zionist regime. He emphasized that recent developments have highlighted the necessity of ending the occupation of Palestinian land for achieving lasting peace and security in the region and the broader Islamic world. Strengthening unity and solidarity among regional countries was presented as essential in this pursuit.
Farhang also spoke on the various challenges facing the region, commending the relationship between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Sultanate of Oman as a model example of neighbo
rly relations built on mutual trust and friendship. He underlined Iran’s consistent advocacy for peace and solidarity through dialogue and negotiations within the region. Farhang expressed hope that regional countries would reach a consensus that security can only be realized through mutual trust, reliance on national capabilities, and fostering good neighborly relations.
