Tehran:Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has announced that Iran is prioritizing diplomatic efforts to safeguard its national interests and defend its rights on the international stage.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Araghchi made these comments during a meeting with representatives from Tehran Province in Parliament, which is part of ongoing discussions between the legislative body and the Foreign Ministry focusing on foreign policy and national security.

During the meeting, Araghchi provided an update on regional and international developments, highlighting the Foreign Ministry's strategies to protect Iran's national interests. He emphasized the importance of enhancing relations with neighboring and regional countries and expanding economic partnerships with various nations.

He also discussed the potential of economic diplomacy to counteract sanctions and stressed the need to strengthen public and media diplomacy to articulate Iran's positions and perspectives more effectively.

Parliamentary representatives expressed their views and concerns on foreign policy issues and questioned the foreign minister, to which Araghchi responded. They highlighted the importance of maintaining national unity and supported the Foreign Ministry's efforts in defending the country's interests.

Additionally, the lawmakers emphasized the need for better coordination among government branches and called for mobilizing all national resources to counter threats and achieve the objectives of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
