Iran’s Health System Lauded as Regional and Global Model by President

TEHRAN: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has declared Iran's health system to be a leading model both regionally and globally, citing significant advancements in healthcare access and outcomes across the nation. Speaking at a conference dedicated to honoring Iran's healthcare providers, President Pezeshkian highlighted the notable improvements in life expectancy as a testament to the system's success.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, President Pezeshkian attributed this success to several key indicators, including the reduction in infant mortality rates, effective control of infectious diseases, and a decrease in complications related to non-infectious diseases. These achievements underscore the robust infrastructure and strategic initiatives that underpin Iran's health system.

President Pezeshkian further emphasized the impact of nationwide healthcare programs, such as universal health coverage and the family doctor plan, which have expanded access to comprehensive care for millions across the country. These initiatives not only enhance individual well-being but also contribute to reducing medical costs and promoting social sustainability.
