Tehran: The commander of the Hamza Sayyid al-Shuhada Base of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Ground Forces has issued a stern warning regarding the use of Iraq's semi-autonomous Kurdistan Region for launching attacks against Iran. Brigadier General Amanollah Gashtasbi emphasized that while Iran maintains amicable relations with its neighbors, it will not tolerate its soil being used for hostile activities against the nation.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, during a press conference held to commemorate the birth anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), Brigadier General Gashtasbi remarked on the acknowledged power and authority of the Islamic Republic, noting that even US officials and Israeli politicians have recognized Iran's might. He urged the Kurdistan Region to refrain from harboring anti-Iran groups and assured that the Armed Forces are prepared to counter any threats emerging near the borders.

Gashtasbi highlighted that adversaries attempt to exploit various routes and border points to channel equipment and ammunition to destabilize the region. He asserted that the Iranian Armed Forces are vigilant and adapt their strategies to counter evolving enemy tactics effectively.

Addressing the broader geopolitical context, the commander referenced the unsuccessful joint US-Israeli military campaign against Iran, which he described as an illusion of swiftly subduing the country. Instead, Iran's resilient Armed Forces, guided by its leadership and supported by the populace, thwarted these aggressive maneuvers.

Brigadier General Gashtasbi also appealed to Iranian media to actively participate in countering enemy narratives by accurately reporting the accomplishments of the Iranian Armed Forces and the nation's resilience. He concluded by urging citizens to remain vigilant against deceptive enemy claims, citing Iran's robust defense capabilities demonstrated during the Ramadan War.
