IRGC Dismantles Enemy Mercenary Cells in Iranian Provinces

Tehran: The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has announced the dismantling of armed mercenary cells, affiliated with the United States, the Israeli regime, and Britain, in the provinces of East Azerbaijan, Kerman, and Mazandaran. In a statement released on Saturday, the IRGC Intelligence Organization detailed the operations that led to the arrests and dismantling of these groups, which were involved in activities ranging from arming and spying to disrupting markets and smuggling goods.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the intelligence apparatus of East Azerbaijan Province, in its second operation in recent days, identified and arrested seven individuals linked to pro-monarchy terrorist groups. These individuals were not only involved in armed and sabotage activities but were also sending coordinates of sensitive locations to their leaders.

In Mazandaran, the IRGC unit apprehended 69 individuals associated with the Zionist regime who were engaged in anti-state activities. The operation led to the confiscation of firearms, cold weapons, and telecommunications equipment from their hideouts.

Separately, in Kerman province, the IRGC announced the identification and arrest of 51 people, including key enemy elements, spies, and media agents linked to an international terrorist network. The detainees reportedly had direct connections with foreign leaders and were actively working to disrupt the market, recruit mercenaries, and create chaos in the province.

Since the onset of US and Israeli-backed unrest in Iran, followed by an unprovoked war, Iran's intelligence apparatus has detained hundreds of individuals connected to American and Israeli spy networks and foreign-funded terrorist groups across the country.
