Tehran: Iran's Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC) has announced the successful targeting of 18 key US military sites in the region during two operational waves, a direct response to what they describe as recent aggression against Iranian territorial integrity.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the IRGC identified the targets as being located at the Al-Salem and Ahmad al-Jaber air bases, as well as the Sheikh Isa air base. The strikes were executed by the IRGC Aerospace Force and Navy combatants, as revealed in an early Thursday statement by the military body.

The IRGC stated that these operations occurred in the early morning hours and were a retaliatory action against the US military's aggressive actions toward certain IRGC service units, coastal posts, a police headquarters, and the area surrounding Bandar Abbas airport.
