Tehran: The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has declared its commitment to utilizing all available capabilities to safeguard Iran's territorial integrity, independence, and national interests. The IRGC has emphasized that it will respond decisively to any threat or act of aggression against the nation.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, the IRGC issued a statement on Monday in conjunction with the anniversary of the return of Iranian prisoners of war (POWs) from the 1980-1988 Iran-Iraq War. The statement celebrated these POWs as symbols of patience, resistance, and steadfastness.

The IRGC underscored that the memories and sacrifices of the POWs leave a lasting legacy, serving both as an inspiration for future generations and as evidence of the injustices faced, as well as the legitimacy of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

In honoring the POWs and recognizing their sacrifice and resilience, the IRGC reaffirmed that, drawing inspiration from the POWs and under the leadership of Ayatollah Sayyid Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, the elite forces will align with other Armed Forces. They remain fully prepared to defend the Islamic Revolution, alongside the country's territorial integrity, independence, dignity, and national interests, ensuring a decisive response to any threat or act of aggression.
