Beirut: Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council has issued a stern warning following an Israeli airstrike on Beirut's southern suburb of Dahiyeh. The official, Mohammad Bagher Zolghadr, stated that any violation of Iran's 'red lines' will not be tolerated and indicated that a response is imminent.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Zolghadr took to his official X account late Sunday to underscore the unity of the resistance front. He stated, "The unity of the battlefields has created a security chain in defense of the region." He further emphasized the importance of Lebanon, declaring it integral to the Islamic Republic, and warned against any infractions on its sovereignty.

The Israeli airstrike targeted Dahiyeh, known as a stronghold of the Hezbollah resistance movement. Lebanon's Civil Defense organization reported casualties, with at least three people martyred and six others wounded in the attack.

This development occurs as Iran and the United States are reportedly nearing the signing of a memorandum of understanding to end the ongoing conflict on all fronts, including in Lebanon. Tehran has maintained that achieving a ceasefire in Lebanon is crucial to any potential agreement with Washington aimed at ending the war.
