Legal Action Initiated Against Minab School Attack Perpetrators: Hormozgan Chief Justice

Hormozgan: The punishment process for the perpetrators of the Minab school attack has officially begun following the registration of a war crimes complaint against US-Zionist actions, said the Chief Justice of Iran's Hormozgan Province.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Mojtaba Ghahramani stated that the strike on the 'Shajareh Tayyebah' school is a war crime and an illegal act that carries both criminal and civil liability for the aggressors under international conventions and treaties.

International law currently suffers from a lack of strong enforcement mechanisms, further weakened by the influence of certain powers within the international legal system, the head of the Hormozgan Judicial Council added.

He further said that history has proved that such legal processes could take a long time, but maintained that criminals will eventually be held accountable. He emphasized that perpetrators must be brought to justice even if the process takes many years.

The judicial official reiterated that pursuing the legal process on the crime through various legal and institutional channels is a necessary step. 'Utilizing multiple legal and judicial paths is not a duplication of effort but a necessary strategy to seek the rights of the victims and those affected, especially given the existing hurdles within the international legal landscape.'
