Tehran: Judiciary chief Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei has praised Iran's 'astonishing national unity,' saying the solidarity displayed during last year's 12-Day War has amazed observers worldwide and strengthened Iran's deterrence against the enemies.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, in a message posted on social media on Saturday marking the first anniversary of the 'second imposed war,' Mohseni Ejei said the cohesion of the Iranian nation had become a source of added strength for the country. He noted that the national unity in Islamic Iran has astonished and bewildered the world, emphasizing the need to safeguard this solidarity against any infiltration by ill-wishers.
Mohseni Ejei also highlighted Iran's distrust of the United States, expressing that this distrust is rooted in historical facts and events. He referred to the US-Israeli war of aggression against Iran, which began on June 13 last year, where Iran suffered significant losses, including the deaths of military commanders, Armed Forces personnel, nuclear scientists, and civilians due to Israel's 'savage and brutal aggression' supported by the United States.
He paid tribute to those martyred during the conflict, affirming that their memory would be honored. Furthermore, he commended Iran's Armed Forces for their outstanding performance under the leadership of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, during the 12-Day War.
Mohseni Ejei argued that Iran's adversaries miscalculated by underestimating Iran's national power and the determination of its people. He emphasized that Iranians have consistently transformed threats into opportunities, reinforcing the nation's strength and independence.
The conflict began on June 13, 2025, when Israel launched a war of aggression against Iran, starting with the assassination of Iran's top military commanders and scientists. Following Iran's retaliatory airstrikes, the United States joined the conflict a few days later. The war concluded with a ceasefire after 12 days.
