Tehran: Education Minister Alireza Kazemi announced that Iran has successfully provided special artificial intelligence (AI) training to approximately 4 million students, even amidst challenging wartime conditions. Kazemi's remarks were made during the third day of a conference with provincial education chiefs, where he highlighted the ministry's commitment to advancing AI education through various key programs.
According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Kazemi emphasized the significance of initiatives such as the Iran Digital initiative, coding, programming, and the promotion of AI education. He underscored the empowerment of teachers as a critical goal, revealing that 250,000 teachers have undergone AI-related training to better equip them for the evolving educational landscape.
Kazemi also pointed out the two major policies pursued by Iran's education system over the past year: 'justice' and 'quality.' With the support of the government, significant strides have been made in both areas, leading to notable achievements in the education sector.
Furthermore, Kazemi announced plans for the construction of nearly 2,400 educational facilities, which will include 24,000 classrooms. Additionally, efforts to standardize 50,000 classrooms, renovate over 150,000 classrooms, and equip schools with modern technologies are underway, demonstrating a comprehensive approach to enhancing the educational infrastructure across the nation.
