Tehran: An international conference to honor former Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah has kicked off in the Iranian capital Tehran. The conference, dubbed Nasrallah's School of Thought, opened on Saturday with the presence of experts from 13 countries at the Iran International Conference Center, on the occasion of the 40th day after Nasrallah's martyrdom. According to Islamic Republic News Agency, several top Iranian officials addressed the conference, hailing the legacy of the late Hezbollah chief, who was assassinated by the Israeli regime on September 27. Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf emphasized that Nasrallah's martyrdom revealed the futility of compromise in the face of the 'criminal Zionist gang.' He stated that Nasrallah's death does not signify a defeat for him or the resistance front, but rather unmasks his murderers and highlights the futility of compromising with the Zionists. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, addressing the event, remarked that Martyr Nasrallah belie ved in both diplomatic interaction and resistance to establish lasting peace and security. Araghchi described Nasrallah as a symbol of resistance and courage for Lebanon, the Islamic world, and freedom-seeking nations globally. He noted Nasrallah's teachings on resistance and influence without reliance on great powers. Former Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif also spoke at the conference, asserting that Hezbollah remains alive and Israel will not experience peace until the complete liberation of Palestinian lands. Zarif, now serving as Iran's deputy president for strategic affairs, declared that the resistance against Israel precedes the Islamic Revolution and will persist until all Islamic lands are liberated from Zionist control.
