Tehran: The head of the office in charge of Iran-Iraq economic development says the body is seriously pursuing the resolution of obstacles hindering the prosperity of Kermanshah's trade with Iraq. Speaking at a meeting with the Kermanshah Province Export Development Working Group, Hassan Danaeifar emphasized the province's exceptional potential for trade with Iraq and urged efforts to unlock this potential and revitalize trade with the neighboring country.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, Danaeifar highlighted that official trade with neighboring countries and utilizing their economic potential can serve as an effective tool for managing the current economic situation. He assured that solutions are being actively explored to address the primary roadblocks to enhancing Kermanshah's trade with Iraq, particularly at the Parvizkhan border, through practical and problem-solving meetings held in the capital.

Danaeifar pointed out that issues such as quarantine requirements and other customs-related regulations are under examination. He also mentioned the significant capacities in the agriculture, livestock, and poultry sectors, noting that he is actively pursuing the factors of production in these areas. Creating a balance between exports and imports is identified as a crucial aspect of Iran-Iraq trade relations, and Danaeifar stressed the importance of leveraging the available capacities in neighboring countries, especially Iraq, to develop official trade.

He further noted that tapping into these capacities could effectively help navigate the current economic conditions of the country, urging the utilization of resources in neighboring countries to bolster trade efforts.
